In response to the rising prices of essential goods, Legal Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul offered an apology to those affected, saying, “The government is working hard to improve the situation and is taking collective measures.” He made these comments on Thursday night (October 17) during the private TV channel i’s program “Ajker Sangbadpatra,” hosted by Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Manabzamin. When questioned about the price hikes, Dr. Asif Nazrul said, “I apologize to you (Matiur Rahman Chowdhury). I feel deeply upset about this. It’s unbearable for all of us, but we are working tirelessly and collectively to address it.” He further added, “The effects of the floods are lessening, and with winter approaching, we are hopeful that the situation will improve significantly. In some areas, conditions have already started to get better.” Acknowledging the challenges posed by market syndicates, he remarked, “It’s not an easy issue to tackle.”
