Prothom Alo published a photo card on investment figures citing official data from Akhbar Chowdhury. The data covered the period from July 2024 to June 2025 and included information from government agencies such as the NBR, Bangladesh Bank, and BIDA.
According to Chowdhury, the July–August figures were analyzed incorrectly. He clarified that Bangladesh Bank’s data shows investment grew by 80% during that period, meaning the country did not experience negative investment. The apparent decline in registrations reflects the closure of normal registrations, not an actual fall in investment.
