On Tuesday morning (December 10), Jagannath University signed an agreement with the As-Sunnah Foundation to provide temporary accommodation for 700 students at Bashundhara Riverview in Keraniganj, Dhaka. The accommodation will include high-quality library and computer lab facilities, along with government-approved training courses, such as IELTS, to enhance students' soft skills. Scholarships ranging from 25% to 100% will be awarded based on academic performance and financial need. The As-Sunnah Foundation will cover the accommodation costs, while the university will handle transportation to the campus. Shaykh Ahmadullah, Chairman of As-Sunnah, expressed plans to expand the initiative to 5,000 students and assist other universities. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rezaul Karim thanked all parties for their efforts in resolving the university's housing crisis.
