The As-Sunnah Foundation has distributed Tk 3 crore in aid to 300 families of martyrs from the anti-discrimination student movement. The assistance was provided to family members on Tuesday, October 29, at the Beam Auditorium in New Eskaton. Foundation Chairman Sheikh Ahmadullah shared this update on his verified Facebook page. Sheikh Ahmadullah noted that 300 relatives of the martyrs attended the event, where each received an honorarium check. Among the recipients were 109 orphans, 189 ordinary families, and two Hindu families. He also mentioned that prior to the distribution of the checks, family members shared their heart-wrenching experiences, creating an emotional atmosphere in the auditorium. Additionally, Sheikh Ahmadullah reported that Tk 4 crore 26 lakh 25 thousand had been allocated for medical assistance to 1,469 individuals injured during the student and public protests. With the latest distribution, an additional Tk 3 crore has been added to their efforts.
