Armed Gang Robbers Stop Bus, Shoot bKash Employee, Loot Tk 57 Lakh on Cox's Bazar–Teknaf Highway

An armed gang allegedly intercepted a passenger bus on the Cox's Bazar–Teknaf highway by blocking the road with nail-studded tree trunks, shot a bKash agency employee, and fled with Tk57 lakh in cash, according to police. The three victims had withdrawn the money from a bank in Teknaf and were transporting it to local bKash agents when the attack occurred. All three were injured and taken to hospital. Police, supported by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the Coast Guard, have launched a joint operation to identify and arrest the attackers, while the exact amount stolen is still being verified.
