Sheikh Saiyeba Mehzabin, an 11-year-old student of Class IV at Milestone School and College in Uttara, has been discharged from the hospital after four months of treatment for injuries she sustained in the Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crash.
Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, Resident Medical Officer at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Mehzabin had suffered 22% burns and was released from the hospital after her plastic surgery on 26 November. So far, 35 people — including students and teachers — have been discharged following the incident.
The crash occurred on 21 July, shortly after an FT-7 BGI fighter jet took off from Kurmitola Airbase, causing a blaze that claimed 36 lives and injured many others.
