A stabbing attack at Wuxing Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, on November 16 left eight dead and 17 injured. The 21-year-old attacker, a former student, was arrested at the scene. He was disappointed after failing his exams and targeted the institution to express his anger. The institute, which hosts around 12,000 students, is located about 150 km west of Shanghai. This attack follows another violent incident earlier in the week in Zhuhai, where a man drove into a crowd, killing 35. These incidents have raised concerns about campus security and mental health.
