BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom on Tuesday for advanced medical treatment. A special air ambulance, arranged by the Emir of Qatar, has already arrived in Dhaka to transport her.
Dr. Enamul Haque Chowdhury, a member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council, confirmed that the air ambulance landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:40 PM on Monday (January 6).
According to BNP, Khaleda Zia is set to depart for London on Tuesday night in the special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar.
It is reported that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arranged the aircraft from his royal fleet after learning about the health condition of the former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson. The aircraft is equipped with cutting-edge medical facilities.
Upon her arrival in London, Khaleda Zia will be greeted by BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, his wife, and UK BNP leaders.
