All educational institutions across the country will remain closed for five consecutive days this February. As per the Ministry of Education’s decision, classroom activities will be suspended from February 11 to 15.
The extended break begins with the government-declared holidays on February 11 and 12 due to the 13th National Parliament elections. This will be followed by the regular weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, February 13 and 14. Educational institutions will then stay closed on February 15 in observance of Sri Sri Shivaratri.
This marks the first major academic break of the year and the fifth holiday listed in the annual calendar. Additionally, February 11 has been officially declared a public holiday for the election, while February 10 will be a general holiday for workers in industrial areas.
