The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has frozen the bank accounts of former Bangladesh national cricket team captain and renowned all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. An anonymous BFIU official confirmed this information to Channel 24 on Wednesday (November 6). Previously, on October 2, the BFIU had requested bank account details of Shakib, his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir, and his business ventures to investigate potential stock market manipulation and financial irregularities. After concluding the investigation, the BFIU took this action based on government directives.
