Dhaka Autorickshaw Sramik Union has submitted a 10-point demand to the chief advisor's office, led by General Secretary Mohammad Hanif Khokon, highlighting traffic congestion in Dhaka city caused by 150,000 private cars and 120,000 ride-sharing motorcycles. The union's demands include halting the operation of CNG auto-rickshaws from outside Dhaka, banning rickshaw-vans on major roads, and completely stopping battery-powered rickshaws. They also seek legal action against battery-powered rickshaw manufacturers and the cancellation of all rickshaw-van licenses issued by city corporations, along with issuing 100,000 new rickshaw-van licenses in the city.
