A prominent Supreme Court lawyer, ZI Khan Panna, has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly injuring a youth during mass student protests. Panna, who leads Ain o Salish Kendra, was involved with the National Mass Inquiry Commission, a group formed by notable citizens on July 29 to investigate significant legal and human rights violations, as well as deaths during the protests. Recently, he criticized Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus for his comments about a "reset button" and the broad accusations of murder against individuals. Md Baker filed the complaint at Khilgaon police station on Thursday, accusing Panna and 179 others of shooting his son, Ahadul Islam, on July 19.
