Controversial Rangpur-based Islamic speaker Abu Taha Muhammad Adnan has been accused of an extramarital affair by his wife, Sabiurun Nahar Sarah.
Sarah initially made the allegation on Facebook but later deleted the post. Reportedly, she found evidence after Abu Taha lost his mobile phone. Sarah also revealed the matter again on social media, claiming her husband was involved with another woman and was not keeping his promises.
Sarah further alleged that Abu Taha rekindled a relationship with his college sweetheart, Jarin Jebin. She claimed they frequently met, went out together, and even spent time in office rooms. According to Sarah, such inappropriate interactions between men and women go against her husband’s religious preaching.
Additionally, Sarah stated that before marrying her, Abu Taha had proposed to Jarin Jebin. Sarah also accused her husband of trying to imitate another Islamic preacher from Rangpur and often displaying similar gestures and expressions.
