Law Adviser Asif Nazrul remarked, “80 percent of the current police force comes from the Awami regime, and their loyalty lies with Chhatra League. They are not serving this government.”
He made these comments on Sunday, January 26, at the publication event for four books on the July uprising, held at the National Art Gallery auditorium, where the country's law and order situation was also discussed.
The Law Adviser added, “There are post-revolution challenges that the government is working to address.” He expressed hope that the unity surrounding the uprising would continue in the future.
