Northern Lights, a private volunteer organization, has rewarded eight children and teenagers in Rangpur with bicycles for consistently attending congregational prayers for 40 days. On Friday (January 27), following the Jumu'ah prayer, Northern Lights Chairman Yasin Arafat Asif handed over the bicycles at Ershad Nagar Jame Mosque in Ward No. 28 of the city.
As per the organizers and the mosque committee, the initiative aimed to encourage children and teenagers aged 10 to 18 to maintain regular prayers at Ershad Nagar Jame Mosque. To qualify for the reward, participants had to attend all five daily prayers in congregation for 40 days. Eight children and teenagers successfully completed the challenge and were formally presented with their bicycles.
The awardees include students from various grade levels, ranging from third to tenth grade.
