Seventy-one students have been expelled for different durations for their involvement in the murder of Abu Sayeed, an English department student at Begum Rokeya University. The university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Shawkot Ali, shared this information during a press briefing on Sunday (January 5) at 4 PM, following the 109th syndicate meeting. According to the Vice-Chancellor, 33 students have been expelled for two semesters, while 23 have been expelled for one semester. Additionally, the university's disciplinary committee plans to pursue legal action against 15 former students. He also stated that elections for teachers, officers, and staff will not take place before the student council elections.
