In 2006, with support from the Forest Department and USAID, the Nishorgo Network established a 28-member Forest Guard Team in Teknaf, led by Khurshida Begum. For the past 19 years, these women have bravely patrolled the forests despite facing threats from armed robbers, kidnappers, and wild animals. Their unwavering dedication has earned them widespread respect, stretching from Teknaf to Tetulia.
