At least 28 individuals were fatally beaten in the country during the recently concluded month of September, while another 14 sustained injuries, according to a report released Thursday by the Human Rights Support Society. The report, compiled from various national newspaper reports, highlighted these alarming statistics. Despite some advancements in certain aspects of human rights under the interim government, overall progress remains inadequate, with the situation worsening in some areas. The report also noted that in September, at least 16 people lost their lives in 83 incidents of political violence across the nation.
