22-year-old student stabbed and robbed of his tuition fees and phone in Malibagh, Dhaka

Abu Rayhan Evan, a 22-year-old student, was stabbed and robbed by muggers in Dhaka’s Malibagh area while heading to university after withdrawing 45,000 BDT from a mobile financial service shop. Four young men armed with sharp weapons attacked him, taking his semester fee and a phone worth around 1 lakh taka. Seriously injured, he was initially taken to a private hospital before being moved to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for further treatment. Concerned about missing his semester final exams, Evan’s treatment continues as police have been informed.
