At least 20 BNP leaders and activists were injured in a clash with Awami League members over control of a club in Bhangaura, Pabna. The incident occurred on Saturday night, October 12, in Pukurpar village of Khanmarich Union. Five Awami League leaders, including Fayzul Islam and Sanowar Hossain, have been arrested in connection with the attack. Local sources report that the conflict arose when Awami League leaders forcibly took control of "Udaya Club," which had been under BNP supporters for a long time. Armed with local weapons, the Awami League activists attacked Salam Fakir and his supporters, injuring at least 20 people, four critically. Several of the injured were transferred to Pabna General Hospital and Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
