Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has urged passengers to return the 200,000 single-journey metro rail tickets taken from stations, leading to a shortage. DMTCL Managing Director Mohammad Abdur Rouf highlighted this issue during a press conference at the Uttara Depot on October 14. Of the 268,441 tickets issued, nearly 200,000 have not been returned, while 6,881 have been damaged, and 1,500 have been lost. Rouf emphasized that taking single-journey tickets outside the metro rail stations is illegal and requested passengers to return them to avoid financial losses for the state.
