Nathan Thomas, an American engineer from Florida, has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's youngest male professor after joining the engineering faculty at Miami Dade College in August 2023 at just 18 years and 346 days old.
He broke a 306-year-old record previously held by Scottish mathematician Colin Maclaurin and also became the youngest professor in history, surpassing Alia Sabur's record by 16 days. Now 21, Thomas continues to teach while pursuing a law degree.
