Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan stated that he has conducted a survey showing that 55 percent of people prefer online classes. The matter will be presented at the Cabinet meeting on Thursday, where it will be discussed before a final decision is made.

Speaking to journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday (March 31), he said that both in-person and online class systems are being considered for school-level education during the ongoing fuel crisis.

He further noted that while 55 percent of people favor online classes, a fully online system may lead to increased social isolation. He emphasized that, due to the global energy crisis, a blended approach combining online and in-person classes is being discussed.

The issue will be formally presented at the Cabinet meeting on Thursday for further discussion and decision-making.
