15,000 copies of the Quran distributed among new students at Jahangirnagar University

At Jahangirnagar University (JU), approximately 1,500 copies of the Quran were distributed to first-year students of the 2023-24 academic year (53rd batch). On Wednesday afternoon (November 6), the Quran copies were presented to new students during a welcome and cultural evening organized by the “JU Quran and Cultural Study Club” at the Zahir Raihan Auditorium gallery. The event featured Islamic musical performances by Nasheed artist Abu Ubaida and young artist Ishraq Suhail. Professor Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, attended as the chief guest. He expressed, “This initiative by the Quran and Cultural Study Club will foster both worldly and spiritual growth. Islam is a comprehensive way of life, and to truly incorporate it, studying the Quran is vital. Simply reading or explaining the Quran is not enough; to achieve our goals, its teachings must be reflected in our daily lives.”
