11 Israelis, Including 3 Minors, Injured After Being Attacked by a Pack of Jackals While Camping at a Beach

A pack of jackals attacked campers sleeping in tents at Duga Beach along the northeastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, injuring 11 Israelis, including three minors. Seven victims, among them a 12-year-old girl who sustained bites to her face, were hospitalized, while the remaining injured received treatment at the scene. As a precaution, all victims were given rabies vaccinations. Authorities believe the jackals may have been infected with rabies and have advised the public to avoid contact with wild animals and seek medical care immediately after any bite or scratch.
