10 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Dhaka and Chittagong to maintain law and order. Four platoons are stationed in Shahbagh, Matsya Bhaban, and Hotel Intercontinental areas of Dhaka, while six platoons are deployed in Chittagong. The deployment follows the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, an expelled ISKCON leader, at Shahjalal Airport on November 25. He was denied bail in a sedition case on November 26. The government has implemented precautionary measures nationwide to ensure stability amid the situation.
