Born in Saudi Arabia, where his father taught, Zaheed moved to Bangladesh at eight and hails from Patuakhali. He graduated from the American International University-Bangladesh with a record CGPA of 4.0. Starting his career in 2007 with Google's backend development in Bangalore, he moved to California six months later. By 2019, he was promoted to principal engineer and director at Google's Zurich office.
