The Roads General Authority has applied a white coating to the asphalt around Namira Mosque in Arafat, aimed at reducing surface temperatures for Hajj pilgrims. Utilizing locally manufactured materials that absorb less sunlight, this coating lowers temperatures by about 20 degrees Celsius, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Last year, this technology was successfully used on pedestrian pathways to the Jamarat area, reducing temperatures by 12 to 15 degrees Celsius. The project, covering 25,000 square meters, is a collaborative effort with various agencies. Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, the agency's spokesperson, stated that this initiative will enhance the comfort of pilgrims during Hajj.
