MIST secures the second position among South Asian teams in the international aircraft design competition.

Team Novonil from MIST achieved second place among South Asian teams and fourth among Asian teams in the 2024 AIAA Design/Build/Fly Competition, marking their fifth consecutive representation at the event. Asif Hasnayeen, the team lead, expressed joy in representing Bangladesh on a global platform. Hosted by AIAA in Wichita, Kansas, the competition attracted over 110 university teams worldwide. Novonil, in collaboration with MAAC, showcased their prowess in aircraft design with "Akash Tori," tailored for Urban Air Mobility tasks. Their success highlights MIST's tradition of excellence in aerospace engineering, bolstering Bangladesh's reputation internationally. Acknowledgments were extended to supporters within MIST, underscoring the collaborative effort behind Novonil's achievement.
