A seven-year-old student from Uttar Pradesh was expelled from his school for allegedly bringing non-vegetarian food in his tiffin. The incident sparked outrage after a video emerged showing a heated confrontation between the boy's mother and the school's principal, Avnish Kumar Sharma. Sharma made derogatory comments about the boy's Muslim background and accused the family of ""converting others through such food dishes."" The boy's mother confronted Sharma for allegedly verbally abusing her son and locking him in a room as punishment for his meal. Sharma threatened to call security and demanded the mother leave the premises. Amroha's sub-divisional magistrate, Sudhir Kumar, announced an investigation into the incident, led by the basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) and the district inspector of schools. A committee has been formed to thoroughly investigate the allegations, and a three-member committee is currently investigating the matter. The Amroha Muslim Committee condemned the school's actions, holding an emergency meeting and submitting a memorandum to the Union education minister. The committee's president, Khurshid Anwar, urged for an "impartial investigation in the sensitive matter."
