ChatGPT is partially down during a system-wide outage

ChatGPT, a popular AI chatbot built by OpenAI, is currently experiencing a partial system outage, causing problems for some users. The outage started on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 00:21 PDT, with users experiencing issues accessing the service via the mobile app on Android and other platforms. OpenAI has detected the issues affecting the service and is presently working to resolve them. When attempting to conduct searches or ask questions, users who are already connected to the service may receive a "Internal Server Error". The outage is not affecting all users; some are still able to use the site as usual, albeit queries may be delayed to generate and there have been reports of hallucinations in answers. The last big outage for ChatGPT happened on May 23, lasting more than 8 hours. Despite this, OpenAI has maintained a 99.67% uptime percentage over the last 90 days.
