Around 10 billion passwords have been stolen

A major cyberattack has resulted in the leak of RockYou2024.txt, containing 9,948,575,739 unique plaintext passwords. Posted on the forum ObamaCare, this file includes passwords from both old and recent breaches, surpassing the 8.4 billion passwords leaked in RockYou2021. The leak enables criminals to perform brute-force attacks, which involve systematically guessing passwords, and credential stuffing, exploiting reused login information. These methods significantly increase the risk of unauthorized access to exposed accounts.
