Event to Mark the Completion of Padma Bridge Project, Costing More Than 5 Crore

The closing ceremony for the Padma Bridge construction project is set for Friday, July 5, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attending. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, approved the event's expenditure via direct purchase. The bridge, which opened on June 25, 2022, completed its construction on June 30, 2024. Secretary Mahmudul Hossain Khan mentioned a rally was organized at the Mawa end to mark the occasion. The closing ceremony will be held at the same location as the inauguration.
