Anwarul Azim Anar, MP for Jhenaidah-4 and President of Kaliganj Upazila Awami League, has been missing since May 11 after traveling to India for medical treatment. He initially stayed in touch with family and party members, but all communication ceased after two days, and his WhatsApp is unreachable. Concerned, his family and party informed the prime minister and high-level government offices. Anar's daughter, Mumtahin Ferdous Dorin, expressed deep worry. Local leaders, including Shafiqul Islam Apu and Saidul Karim Mintu, acknowledged the issue and plan to inform senior authorities. Despite no formal complaint, Kaliganj police are aware. Anar, elected in 2014, 2018, and 2024, has served three consecutive terms. Rumors are circulating among constituents, with many posting about his disappearance on social media.
