Cillian Murphy set to lead the Peaky Blinders film

Netflix has announced a Peaky Blinders film starring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby. Murphy, also co-producing, expressed excitement about reprising his role. The hit BBC series, which aired from 2013 to 2022, followed Birmingham gangsters and garnered several awards, including a Bafta for best drama. Creator Steven Knight promises an explosive, "no holds barred" film, set to start production this year. Director Tom Harper and Murphy are thrilled to reunite with the cast and crew. Murphy, known for roles in 28 Days Later and Oppenheimer, where he won an Oscar, will lead this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders saga.
