By 2028, Bangladesh plans to install its fourth underwater cable, followed by a fifth in 2033, to meet increasing bandwidth demands. Internet users have surged from 4 to 12.9 million since 2008, with internet density rising from 2.7% to 75.12%. Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali reported that achieving Digital Bangladesh goals has generated 2 million IT sector jobs in 15 years. Government initiatives have slashed fixed internet bandwidth costs from Tk27,000 to Tk60 per Mbps.
