Chinese researchers have developed a tool capable of quickly detecting bowel, stomach, and pancreatic cancers. Lead author Ruimin Wang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University emphasizes the potential to significantly reduce undiagnosed cases, particularly in less developed countries, by up to 55%. These cancers, including bowel cancer, which is the third most common in Britain, claim numerous lives annually. The tool's ability to diagnose multiple cancers rapidly and affordably addresses the pressing need for more accurate and accessible diagnostic methods, potentially improving survival rates through early detection.
