Slama Khatun, a recent graduate, is now selling her 14 cows at cattle market

On Friday, June 14th, at noon in Bibirhat market, Chittagong, Salma Khatun from Fatepur village, Chapainawabganj district, arrived with 14 cows for Qurbani Eid, making her the sole female seller. A graduate in philosophy from Chapainawabganj College with a postgraduate degree from Rajshahi College in 2016, Salma lost her job in a private company during the pandemic. Undeterred, she established a small farm near her home, overcoming various obstacles to become a successful woman entrepreneur in a traditionally male-dominated sector. Her journey reflects resilience and determination in pursuing her entrepreneurial dreams.
