Samiha Lubaba Khan, an Electronics and Communication graduate from Dhaka's North South University, joined the Violet satellite project at the University of New Brunswick in August 2023. Violet, created to collect weather data, was handed over to the Canadian Space Agency after rigorous testing and is set to launch from the International Space Station. Funded by the Canadian Space Agency, this project aims to inspire students in space science. Samiha, now pursuing electrical engineering in Canada, dreams of becoming an astronaut and considers working back in Bangladesh. Currently, she is focused on establishing contact with Violet, which will orbit New Brunswick for 1.5 to 2 years.
