The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) announced that the skin and meat of sacrificial animals, whether raw or cooked, are prohibited on the metro during Eid-ul-Azha. Existing restrictions will also remain. Managing Director M. A. N. Siddique mentioned no rent increase decision has been made yet. Currently, the metro carries 1600-1700 passengers per train, with a capacity of 2200, and serves 325,000 passengers daily. From June 19, metro operations will increase to 196 trips daily, and it will be closed on June 17. New holiday timings will start from June 16.
