The fall of the Sheikh Hasina government has led to an increase in legal remittances in Bangladesh. In the first 17 days of August, 114 crore 42 lakh 20 thousand dollars arrived in the country, with remittances reaching 9 Crore 56 Lac 50 thousand dollars. From August 4 to 10, 38 Crore 71 Lac 20 thousand dollars arrived. State-owned banks received 15 Crore 29 Lac dollars, while specialized banks received 3 Crore 77 Lac dollars. Private banks received over 94 Crore 14 Lac dollars, and foreign banks received 21 Lac dollars. The number of banks not receiving remittances during the period is 10.
