PSC exam leak: Passport office guard Shahadat owns assets worth 10-12 crore taka

Shahadat Hossain, a security guard at the Directorate of Passport and Immigration's Narayanganj office, was one of 17 arrested by the CID on July 5 in connection with a question paper leak for the Sub-Assistant Engineer recruitment exam in Bangladesh Railway. Originally from Singra, Natore, Shahadat owns a house in Ibrahimpur, Kafrul, Dhaka, worth several crore taka. An anonymous Kafrul resident estimated that land in the area costs Tk 6-7 lakh per katha, making Shahadat's property, including the building, worth over three crore taka.
