No trucks, lorries will ply on highways for 7-day marking Eid-ul-Azha

To ensure smooth travel during Eid-ul-Azha, heavy vehicle movements, excluding those carrying sacrificial animals, will be halted on highways for seven days prior to the festival. Additionally, all CNG refueling stations nationwide will operate 24/7 for 12 days leading up to Eid-ul-Azha. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader at BRTA Bhaban. Key attendees included officials from various government divisions, the Bangladesh Police, and representatives from transportation associations.
