No protests today due to Ashura, quota protestors inform

Quota reform protesters in Bangladesh will not hold any events on Wednesday in honor of Ashura, according to Anti-discriminatory Students Movement coordinator Nahid Islam. The next program will be announced after consulting with other coordinators. Dhaka University students are advised to be vigilant and seize control of halls, opposing the Chhatra League. Protesting students gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar to denounce recent assaults and demand quota reforms. Violence between Chhatra League and quota reform demonstrators left at least six people dead.
