The 23 crew members of MV Abdullah arrived at Chattogram port around 4:00pm today, nearly a month after being freed from Somali pirates, as reported by our correspondent. The sailors were held captive for 33 days after the ship was attacked on March 12 while transporting coal from Mozambique to the UAE. The pirates released the vessel on April 14 after reportedly receiving a ransom. Family members joyfully welcomed the sailors. The crew traveled to Chattogram on MV Jahanmoni-3 this morning, following MV Abdullah's anchoring at Kutubdia the previous evening.
