To curb road accidents, motorcycle movement will soon be halted on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, as motorcycles have accounted for the highest number of accidents in the past year. BRTA Chairman Noor Mohammad Majumder announced plans to enforce this measure, highlighting the need for stricter road safety measures. During an operation, fines were imposed on 11 vehicles for various violations. Additionally, steps will be taken to enhance CCTV monitoring on highways, while pedestrians' reluctance to use footbridges and vehicle speeding will be addressed through rigorous enforcement of laws.
