On July 7, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) raised the gold price by Tk1,603 per bhori, following a local bullion market hike. Effective from July 8, the new rates are Tk1,18,891 per bhori for 22-carat gold, Tk1,13,491 for 21-carat, and Tk97,278 for 18-carat. Traditional gold will cost Tk80,423 per bhori. Previously, gold prices increased on June 25 and 11, before a reduction on July 1.
