Shahriar Kabir, the former president of the Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, was taken into custody on September 16. According to Tejgaon Police Station OC Md Mobarak Hossen, Shahriar was detained at his home by officers from the Banani Police Station. He is being arrested in connection with a murder case filed at Banani Police Station.
