Elevated Expressway’s Kuril toll plaza vandalized centring pickup van crossing

At 9:48am, miscreants vandalized the barricade at Kuril toll plaza on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway after a confrontation over a pickup van's entry. A CCTV video shared on social media shows 30-40 people, clad in traditional attire, arguing with toll employees. During the dispute, one individual damaged the barricade. AHM Akhtar, the project director, noted that such vehicles are banned on the expressway for safety reasons. The pickup occupants did not pay the toll and left before authorities arrived. The police have been informed and are investigating, though no formal complaints have been filed yet.
