The Pure Food Court has mandated the removal of all SMC Plus electrolyte drinks from the market and fined ACME Agrovet and Beverages Ltd owner, Tanveer Sinha, Tk16,00,000. The order came after Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) Inspector Mohammad Kamrul Hasan filed a case against five companies for selling unauthorized electrolyte drinks. Tanveer Sinha appeared in court, admitted guilt, and explained that they were unaware the product lacked a license. The court then imposed the fine and instructed the withdrawal of SMC Plus products. Kamrul Hasan confirmed the ruling.
